Life at Mudge House provides you with a unique chance of re-establishing yourself in the community and moving to a self-supporting living situation. The neighbourhood is great and within walking distance of town. The house is comfortable and the meals are fantastic. The referring agent is the halfway house and a Victoria Parole Officer. House operational philosophy (holistic, person centered, individualized program, group program, cultural focus, specialization, etc) We offer our residents a partnership focused on moving forward. We use a holistic approach in helping our residents attain a balance within themselves and the community. Each person is unique and thereby requires special attention. Food situation (cook, self-serve, blended, vouchers) Kitchen Manager provides dinners and purchases all the food for the house. Men cook their own breakfast and make their own lunches. Curfew (variable or set) 1st month of residency curfews are 11PM weeknights 12 AM weekends After 1st month they become 12 AM weeknights and 1 AM weekends Weekend pass system NPB Policy House rules in brief/expectations regarding behaviour/participation in program Our house rules are based on the health and welfare of our staff, residents and CSC Standards & Guidelines. Withdrawal of support and referral back to the Correctional Service of Canada may occur if a resident is non-compliant with his community intervention plan or is noted as undermining the basic rules and spirit of the house.
